147 days. Been on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster since coundown day 150. Most people would assume that you could work it in to see everyone important before you leave in this timeframe. That's really not the case, though I did get to see my cousin and aunt yesterday, which was refreshing.
Working is becoming more of a distraction rather than enjoyable, since I know it's a means to move rather than a career. I'm currently trying to move my store management position to my associate. I'm hoping to keep focused enough at work to make a decent amount of money to fund the move.
We're going to rock it this summer! Now that the kids' rooms are done, it will be a lot easier for me and the girls to stay over and visit family and friends down Baltimore way.
ReplyDeleteMaybe make a list of 'must see' people and 'it would be nice' people. It's a harsh reality that there is limited time to see everyone. If you have groups of friends or family that hang out together, maybe do a few intimate get togethers. That way, you can see more people without feeling overwhelmed by a huge party of people where you need to talk to everyone but you still have the convenience of a group setting.
Above all, I think that everyone will understand that you are doing the best you can to see people before you leave. Plus, it's much easier to keep in touch long distance nowadays, so we'll never be too far away. <3
